About Restoration Church of the Carolinas

It's a New Day!

God Himself has raised the church up to restore the glory of God to those who are wounded by life, by-passed and disillusioned by religion in America. The cornerstone of this ministry is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

We come together for Biblical teaching, prayer, encouragement, and healing as followers of Jesus Christ to experience the presence of Almighty God.

Our Story

Restoration Church of the Carolinas was originally founded as Higher Ground Church in April of 1997 with a small group of people who met together in the home of a friend in Marvin, NC. That core group of people eventually moved to the Indian Land community and met for several years in the old Six Mile Creek church building that was built in the 1800’s. In December 1999, we were able to move to 15 acres that we purchased on Possum Hollow Road in Indian Land. Since that time, God has blessed our church tremendously.

Now nearly 20 years later, using seeds sown many years prior, God has brought together the ministries of Higher Ground Church and First Baptist Church of Indian Trail (FBCIT). Renamed Restoration Church of the Carolinas (RCC) in 2019 and as a campus of FBCIT, we are blessed to have Dr. Joe Brown as our pastor.

At RCC it is a time of restoration for those who are broken or lost. The cornerstone of this ministry is a personal walk with Jesus Christ, through whom you are a new creation, the old things are passed away; new things have come. It’s a new day. Welcome home!
